Can Xcal2 be 'Re-used' ????

I am NOT trying to sell this here.... I genuinely am just asking for some help and advice.

I have a pretty much brand new Xcal2 that I used once before I traded the truck. The vehicle I bought it not a ford.

For the money one pays for these things ($400+) you would think you would be able to get something back. After trying to sell it for a month or more....it seems I will end up throwing it away.

Can these be re-programmed for someone else's truck?
What does one have to do/buy to do this?
I read it can be unlocked and will work with anything OBDII......true?

Any/all help would be appreciated.

Fwiw, my post count might be low , but I have been around here for a LONG time.

Thanks,
jon

The XCal2 is just an empty piece of hardware. The majority of the cost is for the custom tuning.

You can delete old tunes off and unlock the XCal2 with Liveload, a program you can download free at the SCT website then you would have the ability to reload new tunes that are for your specific vehicle.

I think the XCal2 lets you use the unlock feature 5 times before it would have to be reset by a SCT dealer

Apparently I cannot PM anyone
You've never been able to at f150online.com... you must have 100 posts to enter into that privilege. Now, before you bark at me, I don't set that rule... I just enforce it. It's in place to deter would be spammers from dumping mounds of PMs on our members.

... and, here we are again talking about NOT selling things in the forums. This, for the SECOND time. While I let your this thread/post stand because you were, seemingly, searching for info rather than trying to make a buck, you definitely crossed over that line again.

Here's the deal... if you want to sell it, list it in the classifieds. If you don't, it's definitely time to stop at the juncture of being propositioned on buying it.

Roger that?

I completely agree and apologize for it

I will contact tschaid and deal with anything sale related off forum.

This was honestly not a sales attempt. I was seriously clueless as to what to do with this unit and needed advice.

Jon... thanks for your understanding. I'm not trying to be a jerk bud... I'm really not. Just trying to keep the zero tolerance policy for item sales off the forums. Thank you again for understanding and your cooperation.
