aftermarket chip
aftermarket chip
Do they make a chip for a 1995 f-150 with the 5.8 351 Windsor. Also what all will a chip do? Does it increase throttle response, gas mileage,hp? What does it exactly do?
Here are a couple of possibilities
Superchip (single program) for 1987-2003 FoMoCo Vehicles
Superchips Custom Tuning 4-bank (Single Program Chip) for 1987-2004 FoMoCo Vehicles
A chip is going to improve throttle response, tighten up the shifting characteristics of automatic transmissions, increase hp & torque, potentially give you better gas mileage and just better all around drivability

HI 95 F-150,
Our performance tuning is going to increase power, remove the top speed limiter, increase torque available at any throttle position, and in the computer-controlled automatics, completely cleanup their shift characteristics & make the overall driveability much better.
One word of advice - you';ll want to make sure that all of it's maintenance it done and up to snuff, and that it's not a 200K+ mile powertrain that has never been rebuilt - for something with that many miles, we advise freshening it up before hot-rodding it. I mention that because we had a nice gentleman call us today with a JOB1-code 1995 5.8 truck like yours that has 230K miles on the original engine & transmission - while we can still provide tuning for it, unless it's got a new timing chain, and all it's other maintenance up to snuff, it's not going to see quite as much power gain as it would if the motor were a bit fresher - it's really a matter of how much oil it's using, if any, and it's maintenance, etc.
Please feel free to give us a call at our number below & we'll be happy to help!
