I added an Edge Evolution on an '06 5.4 with the TEJF4 computer, and I have seen a 2-3 mile per gallon drop. Has anyone else seen simular?

My mileage always drops in the summer. Maybe it's the Georgia gas.

Same here. Part of it is the A/C, some the difference in gas.

If you loaded level 3, and are having trouble keeping your foot out of it, that may be your problem. It was mine

If you loaded level 2, and are driving the same as before, your mileage should go up 1 or 2 mpg.

If your using the AMPG from the EDGE, it may not be as accurate as the old pen and paper. Mine is usually a mpg different at least.

Drive it a couple of tanks then try it again.

I understand the ac pull ont the engine, but that is not my issue. I have only had the truck about 2 weeks. I have only put about 2.5K miles on it, so I am not comparing to much history. I had it installed with about 1600 miles, and then drove from GA to KY. about half the trip I had it in level 2, and the other half I had it in level 0 (stock). I am just using the AMPG on the unit, but if it is incorrect, I would assume that it would be incorrect by the same amount for both levels. Does anybody else have the TEJF4 computer that is running an Evolution?

The AMPG is not very accurate at all. I'm not sure what it goes by, but I believe that it "estimates" mileage based on engine load. I don't know how speed is factored into the equation (if at all). It seems to be fairly accurate while driving down the road, but if you stop, it will give very erroneous readings. When you stop, it continues to add 0mpg into the equation(with nearly the same gravity as cruising), even though engine load is at a bare minimum, and fuel consumption is very low. Generally speaking, the IMPG on my truck is a more valid explanation of what's going on..... As far as AMPG goes, I wouldn't trust it for anything.

These are my observations. I don't know if they're right or not.
