Which one?
Which one?
I have a bone stock 2003 F-150 extended cab with 4.6 V-8, auto trans, and 3:55 Ls rear end. Probably the only mod will be cat back exhaust. Which tuner would be best, the Superchips 1715?? It has 52000 miles on the clock. Thanks in advance for the input.

Hi Arvin J,
It's really a matter of getting the best results - we've specialized in tuning the F-150 longer than anyone else, which is why so many people come to us, as we're well known for the results we get.
So most people tend to come to us for our Troyer Performance custom tuning, and get a much more advanced hand-held tuner and better power & performance gains compared to the Superchips 1715 unit (which we also sell, as we are Superchips' oldest WD in America).
Some people say that with a bone-stock or lightly modified vehicle that you don't need or wont' benefit from custom tuning, but that is absolutely false - it's a matter of getting a much more thorough and in-depth type of tune when we do it - which is also why a number of the major chipmakers come to us for help with their F-series tuning development, as we have specialized in them for so many years and have tuned more of them than anyone else.
Will the Superchips 1715 unit work for you? Sure it will, and we can offer that to you at a very attractive price since you are a registered member here at F-150 Online - but if you want the *best* results, then you'd want us to do our custom tuning, and you'll get a much more advanced tuner as well, that is capable of much more than the 1715 unit.
SO that's what you;re really deciding between - and please feel free to give us ac all if you;d like to go over any of this in m,ore detail, we'll be happy to help so you can make your decision from a fully informed position.
Best of luck whatever you decide,
