Hi krakakru21,

Thanks for your order!

Your fuel mileage will depend on the condition of your vehicle (age of the O2 sensors, spark plugs, fuel filter, etc.) as well as the quality of fuel you feed it (steer clear of the off-brands & no-names), as well as how you operate the vehicle, etc. Also, gear ratio, tire size, wheel alignment, tire pressure, and all the other things you no doubt are already aware of will affect this. There is indeed potential for mpg savings in our custom tuning, but the vehicle needs to be in tip-top shape, fed good quality fuel, and the driver needs to keep their foot out of the throttle to see better mpg - in other words, pretty much all the same things apply regarding fuel mileage as on the stock tuning.

Now in your case, since you have a significantly lifted vehicle with big tires on it, that does not going to lend itself to getting particularly good MPG -

However, there is another side to this - right now, your vehicle is "underpowered" for the load it's carrying, so you may well find that the additional power (especially on the premium gas tuning) gets you more MPG gain than we estimate, simply because the engine doesn't have to work as hard - I guess what I'm trying to say is that since your vehicle has mods that tend to hurt MPG, we really won't know the results until the tuning is installed and you've run thru 4-5 tanks of fuel. Sometimes in situations like this, we see customers MPG go up 2-3 mpg thanks to the additional power - you never know for sure until the tuning is installed. As long as you use the same quality fuel as before, your mileage will not go down unless your drive the vehicle harder - see, the primary aspect of getting better fuel mileage as a by-product of *performance* tuning is simply the increased power & spark advance - from there, it's a matter of vehicle condition, fuel quality, and how it's driven.

By the way - our staff will be contacting you for further info, as you failed to provide the gear ratio for your truck - in order to do a tire size change to recalibrate your speedometer, we must also know the gear ratio, even if it has not been changed - this is because that section of the PCM's program does not contain the original factory gear ratio for each vehicle, but instead, the F-150's use a default that almost none of them actually have installed - so Crystal or one of our other staff will be contacting you for that information so that we can properly recalibrate your speedometer - (please don't post that info here, our people will contact you privately for that info).

I also noticed that while your vehicle has approximately 130K miles on it, it looks like it's gotten some good maintenance - if memory serves (and I just glanced at this briefly a while ago), the O2 sensors are relatively fresh, as are the spark plugs - excellent!

These are some of the things that we talk about a lot in trying to get people to properly maintain their vehicles, so I'm glad to see that was done. The vehicle needs to be using Bosch O2 sensors (that is who makes them for Ford by the way, and what the vehicle is designed to use, so when you get a "Motorcraft" O2 sensor for the vehicle it's actually a Bosch unit). You'll get this and a lot more info when you receiver your custom tuning, that will tell you all about fuel quality, some maintenance info & some other things that will help you get the best fuel mileage for your vehicle's condition & fuel quality and how you've had us tune it.

Thanks again for your order, and for your post!
