SCT SF *Strategy Flash* Xcal II

SCT SF *Strategy Flash* Xcal II

Is anyone familiar with the significance of these "new" changes will be? I like the idea of being able to have 4 tunes avail---although I doubt I really need four different tunes, the concept is nice. Other than that--Can Mike or Others retune this version of the Xcal? Or would it just be a waste of time--That is to say just stick with the original Xcal II?

And search yielded no answers...

Hi.

I did a quickie search and these pooped out:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...highlight=9415

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...strategy+flash

In brief, the 9415 holds SCT's 'canned' tunes for your vehicle - it cannot be truly 'custom tuned', unless you convert it to a 9400 (one-way operation), and have a professional tuner create tunes for your specific vehicle & needs.

I don't know what 'new' changes you are referring to ( your link doesn't work for me).

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Grog

Here’s SCT’s download page. You can convert a 9415 Strategy Flasher and turn it into a 9400 but the firmware doesn’t allow you to reverse it back to a 9415

Its kinda old news, but what it does is give the opportunity to try a canned tuner and if you want to change to a custom tuner, you have the device and can just request and download custom tunes and programming.

Hi c0ckac0la,

Yes, we can convert that unit into a custom tuned XCal 2, so that you don't have to have just those standard "canned" tunes, but instead, can get the full performance potential of your vehicle.

We've been exchanging a few PM's her over the past week or so, so you may already know this by now, I just thought I'd respond just in case!

If you have any questions on this, please feel free to give us ac all & we'll be happy to help you with this, OK?

Good luck!
