What is it that you are looking for, and want to do? You can NOT just randomly down load a file and program it into your vehicle.

who did your custom tune??

Why do you want a different tune? Downloading someones custom tune other than the vendor you dealt with is a risky venture at best!

Hello pike1346,

I have no idea where you got that unit, or which unit you have or who tuned it - but you *cannot* just go download files somewhere and load them into an XCal 2.

There is, unfortunately, a different version of the XCal 2 (Part# 9415) that provides generic, off the shelf tunes - but that aside, all other XCal's require *custom* tuning to be loaded into them - not just some simple file for any 2006 F-150.

Each vehicle must be tuned according to it's own unique computer code to get proper results, and to avoid no-starts, etc - and most people come to us for our Troyer Performance tuning, as we have more experience tuning the F-series platform than anyone else, having specialized in them for almost 15 years.

I don't know who gave you the impression that you can just get some file from somewhere and load it up and that it would work, or if maybe you were just hoping that would work perhaps, but just so you will be aware, it doesn't work like that, my friend. You can't just get some file from someone on the Internet and suddenly turn that 3-ton truck into some fire-breathing monster.

If you want to get the most safe & sustainable power & performance from that truck, give us a call at our number listed below & we can help you out - now if it was us that provided the tuning, then the only thing you can do from there to have any chance of getting any more performance from further tuning is to provide the datalogging as we provide the instructions to every one of our custom tuning customers - (I say that simply because I don't know who you are by your screen name without doing some searching that I don't have time to do right now).

I hope this info helps, & feel free to call us if you'd like to go over any of this in more detail, OK?

Good luck!

Bamachips and JusnesModified.com offers specific tunes according to what octane and performance levels you want to run. They can email them to you and then can be uploaded to your programmer. The last one I got for my 06 GT was $50. Most of the time you can get them in 2-3 days. Email them and get some info and all the different things they can program for.
