Does Troyer do install work not just tunes?
I am now living around Charlottesville VA, and was wondering if Mike works on trucks like a normal shop? I cannot find anyone around the area that is willing to work on my truck because it has the Procharger on it. I need someone who knows how to find out what is wrong with my truck, and can also fix it as well as tune it. I finally can afford to do this, but cannot find anyone to do it. Any help will be appreciated. THANKS!!!
I think they'll be able to do quite a bit... your best bet is to give them a ring and discuss this with them... they are a performance shop but, being that you're obviously in the realm of performance with your ProCharger, I'm certain that you'll be in VERY good hands...
Here's their contact information...

Thanks for the help. That was the answer that I was hoping to hear. I need quite a bit of work done, and was hoping he could do it. I will try to call them tomorrow to see if he can help me out. THANKS!!!
Hi jbravo,
Allow me to clarify - we do *performance* work, and have, just for example, done many installs of performance parts (and other parts to support performance needs), custom tuning, dyno work, etc., on supercharged trucks like yours.
However, we do NOT do "general repair" work. Never have, never will.
In other words, we are a performance chop, as opposed to a general repair facility, is I guess how best to explain it.
The best thing to do is to give us a call, so we can talk with you and see just what's up, what you're thinking about, what you want to have done, etc., to see if we can help you directly, or if we need to refer you to another shop in our same area that can do straight repair work on that type of vehicle, if that is what it turns out you actually need, OK? We're happy to talk with you about this, no problem!

I called today, and left a message for you with the girl on the phone. What I have is a 97 F-150 4x4 4.6L 5 speed, with the Procharger, SCT multibank chip with cable, Spec stage 3 clutch. Hurst short throw shifter, and Accell coil packs which I got from you. What my problem is besides needing a new tune, is that nobody wants to try to figure out what other problems I MAY have with motor because of it being supercharged. I am looking for a HIGH PERFORMANCE repair if that is what it takes. If the motor is worn out, then I will need it fixed or replaced with a better one that is built like it should be. If I have to go that route, then nothing less than 400 horsepower at the rear wheels will do. I actually want more than that. If you don't want to do the repair work if it needs it, could you at least look at it, and try to figure out what exactly is wrong with the truck, so I could tell someone who will what it will take to fix it. If the problem is minor, then I just want it fixed, so you can tune it. I believe the tune in now is set up for 90mm MAF, and #42 injectors, but niether are in the truck. It's getting less than 10mpg driving it like a baby. It loads up with fuel big time, then smokes like a freight train when you first nail it. Hell, most mechanics are scared to death of it as soon as I raise the hood. Let me put it this way. If you had just purchased my truck for yourself, wouldn't you figure out and fix anything that might be wrong with it so you could enjoy it? That's all I am wanting to happen.
THANKS!!!
THANKS!!!

Talked to Mike today. It's easy to tell he knows his stuff when it comes to working on these trucks. I have set up a date to take him my truck to FINALLY get it fixed like it should be, and I can hardly wait. I'm not going to know how to act when I get to drive it after getting it worked on by a real professional.

HI Jbravo,
Excellent, glad to hear you got your Procharger docs!
And for FX4ME2 - is that you, Mike? Sounds like it - if so, thanks for coming down last week, we had a blast doing the work on your truck, and it turned out very nicely. Anita tells me you had an enjoyable drive back to Michigan with that new Roush Intercooled blower!

HI FX4ME2,
Ahh, OK - now I remember!
I sometimes get our Michigan customer's confused - I had you confused with a nice guy named Mike who also lives in Michigan - he drove down from Michigan so we could install a Roush intercooled blower & efans setup - and with all the screen names on F-150 Online, and both of you being from Michigan, I just got you guys confused - sorry about that!
