I had mine set at the 87 octane level (CA's highest octane that is readily available is 91, tried it on the 93 setting and got some minor detonation so I reverted the tuner)
Some of the newer tuners or more customizable ones have specific inputs for your other mods. The old school way was the whole chip got popped out and tuned for you and whatever you had, now a lot of theem are "canned" or preselected tunes. These have the obvious advantages of being custom, but that doesn't necesarily make your tuner bad by any means just less specific.
you brought up another question I have...about towing
for that do I just change the settings, or is there a way i select "Tow"?
if i have to change each setting, what should they be at? firm shifting? ect.
