It looks like you just want the " cheapest " way to go... all I can say is you get what you pay for.

 

If it was a hundred bucks cheaper, and included the on-board monitoring, I might consider it.

As for now, it's too far behind the times and needs to catch up with current technology.

Well to be honest, I'm not knocking the edge but if you really search the posts,you will see a lot of can't get this to work,truck won't start, level 3 tune no good,can't get anybody to answer my calls.Now if this is the performance you want and the service you need,good luck to you and your future ventures, and rationale.That's my nickles' worth.All the negative I have read in the posts about the edge for the last 4 months is why I opted
out.

 

havent they got all of the kinks worked out...that is why i waited till now to get one. i have herd all of the trouble etc...with the edge, but have also herd good things since the latest update came out...no problems at all. And if you remember, the xcal 2 was throwing cells for a while as well.

honestly, it comes down to this, the toyer chip will give more power etc..but i dont think it will give that much more then the edge to make a diffrence really that you can "feel". also, i hate the fact that i wouldnt have the functional part that the edge does.
