Seeing that you and I have such similiar setups, the reson I was asking abou the muffler was that you have a huge TQ loss right off the bat, and I don't. I run the 40 series vs your 50 series is the only difference. But, also, you have the PI heads so you should be pushing more power than me. Do you have a picture of your setup like the one I posted? I'd like to see under your hood and see why you aren't pushing more (lacking the final tune thing)

Here is my first dyno run, before mikes tune and before the intercooler

Here is my next run, severely rich with baseline tune and intercooler

I find it wierd that I make torque so much faster. I am using true dual 3 inch stick all the way with high flow cats and 40 series, unequalized.

The mods I have currently are, i'm running the stock powerdyne kit, which I see 5lbs of boost from, 42# injectors, 90mm maf, 255lph intank walbro fuel pump, cat back 50series flowmaster, denso it-16 plugs, factory tech transmission seperator plate kit, and mikes tune.

I thought on your original charts that it went WAY rich and then went WAY lean on the big end. The lines didnt show up very well in between.

Is it really 96 deg in Ft. Lauderdale right now? WHEW it's hot down there!
Well, I really don't know what those lines are at the end, from my first trip to the dyno, its not clear on my printout either. I just thought they dropped off the graph and never came back up. But, you may very well be right about those end lines being part of the actual air/fuel plot. In that case it would be running lean on the top end there also.

Oh and the temperature is right on at 96 deg, its been soo hot for soo long we are having brush fires right and left. My truck just had an ash bath today We need rain bad down here. Havent had rain for a good few weeks now, maybe a sprinkle once or twice and thats it. Even when it rains, as soon as the water hits the ground it evaporates.

Well, I guess I just have to wait now for mike to get back to me. I know he is a very busy guy.

Call him, and let him know how lean you're running and I am sure he'll get you takin care of.

I'd replace that stock powerdyne intake pipe myself. I changed to a 4 inch
90` elbow. Other than that, it looks good visually.

Hi Guys,

First - for mustangtw5901 - Forgive me, as right now I don't have any files open on my desk so I don't' know if you have an order in for custom tuning pending, or if perhaps yo called here to speak to me and we haven't yet had a chance to speak, etc. Whatever the case may be, please do give us a call so that we can speak and I will be more than happy to go over anything with you, get you exact status, or help you in any way I possibly can, OK?

Then for 98NAvi - how are you, you rascal? I hope you got the updated tunes in email, I went thru your datalogs & made adjustments to certain areas of the MAF TF to even out the A/F's, so you should have that by now - please let me know (by phone or email, since I'm not getting by here every day) if you have not received those updated tunes, OK?

Thanks to both of you, & talk to you soon!

Denso it16's are stock plugs. At least for a lightning. I would think you would run a heat range cooler. Ask Mike.

I notice you eliminated the boost bypass as well. Have any problems with that at high speed? I don't but I have talked to a few who get their panties in a twist about it.

I did get my tunes in the email mike, and I have installed them. I'm gonna have to go back to the dyno, cause the second day the CEL kicked back on rich on banks one and two again. (though it has leaned out a great deal, no more raw gas being expelled from the pipes)

My kit didn't come with a boost bypass setup, I was told its not necessary until you go over 6lbs of boost. My truck seems to be running similar to yours, I have a cel also with banks one and two rich.

I spoke on the phone with Mike today, very informative and helpful. He made some small changes to the tune and I'll be heading back to the dyno, probably tommrrow. I believe he took some fuel from the midrange and added some to the top-end. Will post results when I get them.

Mine's just rich cuase we're still fine tuning it. He leaned it out pretty good though, cuase its not expelling excess gas anymore. Its running like a champ to0,.
