Custom or not
Custom or not
I am debating on wether to get the custom tuning or not. I am in CA and do not know where a dyno is to get the data Troyer needs to finish the tuning, as well as not knowing how to get it. I am putting on the JBA headers, have an airaid intake and magnaflow exhaust, would a superchips programmer alone be okay, I have read enough to know that sometimes you lean out the engine and thats why I need programming. I currently have a Hypertekm, but after the Headers Hypertek says there unit is not applicable. PLEASE HELP
What you'll want to do is to call us so we can go over this with you, so you will have proper and correct info - there is no info here regarding your vehicle whatsoever that we would need to give you any advice, and it's much too detailed to get into here anyway, so just give us a call at our number listed below so we can help you properly.
In general, there are very few places in this country where you cannot find a place to get the data we ask for, and you also get complete step-by-step instructions on how to do that, written for someone who has never done it before - so don't keep putting that up as a roadblock, as it's just not that hard to do - and there is no comparison between any off-the-shelf generic tuning versus what we can do in a custom tune.
A custom tune is the *only* way to have any vehicle properly dialed in for all of it's modifications, so if you want it done right, and want to get by far the best power & performance gains that are safe & sustainable, you'll want to go with our custom tuning - you'd be surprised at just how easy it really is - just give us a call & we can go over all of that with you so you can give it some thought.
Best of luck whatever you decide, & thanks for your post!

That makes me feel a lot better. im not happy with the Hypetek, and I believe it has caused some problems to my truck. Check engine light, knocking occasionally, and sometimes it wont start on first turn. Ill goo this way. Again thank you.
