When I installed mine I could definitely tell a difference but not anything like wow that's amazing. The gas mileage is a little better and the sound is pretty cool. All in all it's a good mod but if I could do it again I'd go with the Volant set up.

Thanks Jimmy.
As I'm sure you will all be seeing in posts here soon, those who were at our dyno day event this weekend clearly saw the difference in power between the Air Force One and the Volant, and other intake kits - the AF! clearly out-powers all of them, we saw this time and again this weekend, just as we always have in the past.
Those manufacturers & others who go on all about "true cold air," etc., have not done the kind of testing that we have - we actually test the IAT's, and the actual power, and find that no, there is *not* any advantage whatsoever to Volant's design, or to anyone else's so-called "cold air" design. What has to be remembered is the actual conditions that affect IAT's, as that is where a lot of people have made incorrect assumptions based on no actual proper testing (which is perfectly normal and OK for vehicle owners, there are very few companies that really test this like we do).
Now if you are happy with your present intake kit, then by all mens, stick with it - the only thing that really matters is that each vehicle owner is happy with what they have - absolutely!
But when it comes down to actual facts, the AF1 out-powers every intake kit on the market for the 5.4 3V F-150 - every dyno event we prove this over and over again, just as we have been doing again the past 2 days - in fact, one gentleman saw the results and immediately had his Volant removed and replaced it with the AF1, even though I told him that there was no real need to, he just insisted on doing it once he saw the numbers.
So fact is one thing, and what we make people away of thru properly controlled testing, so that *we* know what actually does what and to heck with all the claims, rumors, etc., so that we can properly advise people - and then what each vehicle owner likes is sometimes another, and is always most important, that is the bottom line - it's *your* vehicle, so you do whatever makes *you* happiest.
This is just FYI...........
