Need Advise

Just bought a 04 F-150 w/ a 4.6.

What chip should I buy? Need a few more ponies.
Is it helpful to power and mileage?
I am still under warranty so need to make sure I don't compromise this. I don't mind switching back and forth if possible.

Anyway just bought a few days ago and put a thousand miles on this weekend. Love the truck. Looking forward to putting on a billet grille, chip, exhaust maybe wheels.

Stoked,
GTN

Have you got a laptop with Win2K or higher and a dynojet nearby? Xcal2 has the potential for the best possible tune.

Otherwise, the Edge will provide significant improvements over stock and also give you more rope *today* than the XCal2.

Thanks Rooster

I have the laptop. I will ask around about the dynojet. I am new to all of this. Do you know about the warranty issues. Will I void my warranty by installing the chip?

The answer is NO, using a chip will not void your warranty. Using a product that damages your engine to the point that the manufacturer can prove that the product caused the damage will void your warranty. Used properly the xcal2, as to my knowledge, does not damage your vehicles engine. The xcal2 is tuned specifically for certain octane levels of fuel and for general use (ie. towing & performance). Used in accordance to octane and specific tune level you should have no warranty issues. Also you can return your vehicle to original stock tune at any time (ex. dealer service work).
