Re-using the XCal2 on a new vehicle...

...so, I traded in my 04 F-150 SuperCrew for a 06 F-250 XCab PSD. Before I did, I "returned the truck back to stock" as far as the XCal2 is concerned. Is there anything else I have to do so that I can use the tuner on another vehicle other than get it reprogrammed for my new truck? Also, do I have to send it back to TP since that's where I got it from for the new tunes, or how does that work? I still have access to my old truck, so the sooner the information, the better. Thanks in advance! I guess you'll see a little less of me around here now...not sure if that's good or bad

My experience with this, I traded an 05 for an 06. Returned the 05 to stock tune before the trade in, shipped the tuner back to TP and they reprogrammed the xcal2 custom tunes for the 06 pcm code. Thats it..

I could be wrong but you could use "live load" to unlock the Xcal and get your tunes emailed to you.

Hi DevilSun,

Yes, just return your original vehicle back to stock, and then we can send new tunes to you for the next vehicle - just give us a call & our staff will help you with that, OK?

And congrats on your new truck!
