I had a Jet, and it was fine for an off shelf tuner for my 01. I had to replace it when I got blown. Now I run a custom Troyer tuned Xcal2. That is the way to go!

I wouldn't use a jet chip. Its not to in depth with your truck, just basic tunes. Get a SCT tuner if at all possible. I got mine for $379 at this place a month ago, great guy to deal with and I am getting great power and lil more mpg.

autosoundandperformance . com

but stay away from Jet.

had the jet on my old 97 with a 4.6, couldnt really even tell i had it in there. then i went to mikes custom tuned flip chip and loved the results. i could really tell the difference with the program custom for my truck instead of just a canned tune for every model. its worth the price for the custom tune and if ur a memeber here, its not even close to 500 for a xcal. give mike a call and tell him ur a member here and hell give u a member price which is pretty sweet. good luck. to me jet is just a expensive paper weight

I had a Jet Chip, I noticed a little difference, nothing to write home about though.

I just put my Hypertech programmer in 2 days ago, from what I can tell, Its just a Smidgen better than the Jet.

So far IMHO these chips and programmers, is a lot of smoke and mirrors.

Wheres the real horsepower? Back in the day... A set of duals, a Holley Carb, and a good air cleaner done wonders!
