Question Installing ASP pulleys this weekend, increase idle speed?

Is this needed or even possible through a chip reburn? I was reading on the Troyer site about this being needed for certain high power stereo equipped trucks. Mine is not what I'd really consider "high" power, but I do have a certified 320 watt MTX subwoofer amp, and a supposedly 600 watt door speaker amp running four speakers. The 600 is probably a generous number, since it is not a big name amp. I have no caps, although I've thought seriously about them before. I do however tend to dim my lights (dash and exterior) when it is hitting hard bass notes. The alternator is the stock 130, and is less than three years old.

Mods so far include.

K&N Gen. II intake.
gutted/smoothed MAF body
2 1/4" true duals with 40 series flowmaster style mufflers and H pipe.
Superchip, which was burned mistakenly for a stock exhaust on purchase.
Water way under the bridge, but it would be nice to have it fixed.

Is it possible to raise idle on a 98 4.6 with a standard chip? And if it is possible, do I need it? I would like to get the dual exhaust thing corrected, and firm up the shift points some more. I drove a friends truck with a
chip, and the shifting felt like a shift kit. Mine is more of a no slip clean shift, and I would like it to be a bit firmer. Am I due for a reburn for the idle speed? I could get the other issues fixed at the same time, for possibly the same reburn fee? Sorry it's been a while since I read up on this stuff.,,,,98

Back in an hour or two, picking up the pulleys from ASP directly. Pretty cool
to have them in town in case any problems come up.

I haven't started it yet, and it looks like it will be me alone doing it. Thought I could get help, but everybody I know has weekend stuff going on. Oh well, all I'm lacking is the puller on the tool end, going to get that in the morning. I will try to notice the start and finish times for you. It doesn't look like more than an hour or two of work, and I've never done it before. Got a new Gatorback belt to go on with them. ,,,,98

Question

So does anyone know why my "balancer" bolt will turn 1 to 1 1/2 turns either direction, but refuses to loosen. Using an impact wrench, with a 6.5 HP 33 gallon tank. I DO NOT want to strip or break this bolt. HELP!!!!! Has anyone browsing the boards done this???,,,,98

I spoke with Mike about the Idel and he said that since I have the Xcal2 he said it has been raised enough to put the pulleys on I was haveing a little dimming issue but I raised the idel to 675 from 625.

98 Screamer: I had a problem with that bolt to I had to get a impact gun with 600lbs of tq try a better impact gun

Well, doesn't matter anymore since the crank pulley bolt is mushroomed behind the pulley. A HUGE Thank you to Earnhardt Ford for putting in a bolt that was 1/8 of an inch too long, causing this issue. Even fully tightened, the washer still spins around. Now I know why my belt has been squealing since they worked on it in 2001. F**king low lifes.,,,,98

Of course they have told me they are not liable for the damage anymore.
