Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I'm a Chevy man, but I have a friend with a 1998 F-150 who wants me to check into re-flashing his PCM. He's not really looking for a lot more power. All he wants is just firmer shifts in the transmission. I'm not sure why, but that's all he wants. Can this be done by re-flashing? I know I did this when I reprogramed my 94 Impala. Is there a mail-order tune we can use to do this? I have a laptop and OBDII cable.

It can be done with a tuner, but the tuner provides a lot more than just shift changes. Also costs a little more money. If a firmer shift is all he wants, Trans-Go shift kit will do that for about 1/3 of the price.

The best thing to do is to have him give us a call at our number listed below - he can register here free (and wont' get any spam), and can then get in on our Group Buy for or custom tuning, and we will take care of the transmission shifting, and anything else he wants that is controlled via the PCM, as well as get him more power, pull the TS limiter, etc. and done in proper custom tuning.
