Group Buy Really Done Already?

Hey All,

So someone told me in the chip forum that the Troyer XCal2 group buy is done? I was looking to see the final date and haven't seen anything officially posted by Troyer.

I was holding off because I wanted to test an AF1 intake on the truck to see if the noise bothers me. I didn't want to request my tunes with the intake and then not like the intake and be stuck with it because of my tunes.

This is really going to stink if I'm a day late and several dollars short. Stinks being an auditor this time of year. It's our busy season and with 70 hour work weeks I honestly haven't been patroling the site enough.

I seem to recall something about February 24th being the end. You may be SOL. Better call Mike and ask (beg).

EDIT: I stand corrected. March 10th is the cutoff.

well I called on Friday at 4:30 and spoke to a women(Anita?) who told me it was ending the 10th - I specifically asked when the "group buy on the xcal2 tuner from f150online.com was over" and was told the 10th without hesitation - if the group buy ended yesderday without there being an official announcement in post form and after being told over the phone directly, I will be more then angry

Marc, I'm not sure how old you are, but if you retired from Ford I am assuming (again) that you ae older than me. It's funny, everytime I see your name now, I'm gonna think of "Dad"...!

Think nothing of it. I took an early retirement so I could do what "I" wanted to do. With my wife and daughters permission naturally.
But I don't mind telling you or anyone, that I am 55...

I still can't help but laugh at that... "DAD"....

Oh yes, and if any extension can be made, we should make it for F150Duke! I can vouch for him... he's a pretty good fella... even if he procrastinates and wrecks his truck and won't build me a set of HID headlights... LOL!

haha, thanks RP!

We'll see about those headlights maybe some day before a new body style F150 comes out!

Yeah I've been pretty bad about procrastinating in my personal life lately this past month. I've been nearing my largest clients fiscal year end (which was two weeks ago) and the report is due this Friday. I'll give TP a call this week and talk to him about the AF1 thing since I still haven't had time to test it and won't until the week after next.

Thanks again everyone!

Duke

Relax, everyone -

In the Group Buy section, which is where Group Buys are discussed, the last post I made I said that it was extended by rampant popular demand - now at that time, we were asking for input on whether it should have been stopped on March 3rd or March 10th, and we got virtually no input here on the boards, other than a few who decided to hijack the thread we placed here in this section about it.

So we decided to go with the longest extension, which was another 2 weeks from it's original date, carrying it all the way out to March 10th, just as we noted here in this section. And I'll post a reminder today in the Group Buy section that it's up on March 10th.

We understand that this is tax season for some people, and so some people aren't getting by here every day like they normally do, but given the 6 week length of this Group Buy, i think everyone got plenty of notice & opportunity to get in on it. We made sure that everyone who comes here got PLENTY of notice, considering that we announced it well over a month long ago and it's run for roughly 6 weeks! So for those who have not done so yet, right now is the time to get your orders in, as the Group Buy closes at 6 pm, Friday, March 10th!

Thanks for your posts, & I hope that calms your concerns.

Hello Mike,

Thanks for the insights. I'll be giving you a call tomorrow or Wednesday and hopefully you'll be available for a brief conversation. If not I'll leave a message.

Thanks again,

Duke
