You should look into the xcal2b. Its a canned version of the xcal2 that can be if you so decide reflashed itself to become the xcal2. (it can't go back, so once you decide and do it it's done) But for all the discussion on here of one vs the other, you can really have the chance to try the canned tune and if you want more or feel you need more, then you can have the custom sheets sent to you and fill them out and change your new xcal2b into an xcal2 and not have to spend the money twice.

Personally, I think that's a great idea Navi. The opportunity to 'jump up' from canned to custom is probably something that some folks might like to have. Naturally, with any individual tuner, it's going to cost more for the custom but, to have the unit in hand, have the capabilities that the Xcal2 offers, and the opportunity to jump up if wanted ... well, this might make a big difference in some folks' thoughts during the buying process...
Bottom line though, get what's best for YOU and do your research on whatever you want to buy to ensure, again, that it's the best option for YOU.

I’ve never seen an Xcal2b. Are you referring to the XcalSF (Strategy Flash Device) ???

I should have been more specific. Its an alternate version that I saw on the SCT Forums a while back. (it is the SF, some other idiot had put B and thats what I called it) I asked mike about it and he told me what it was. I had thought that maybe it was some new hotness just released version of the xc2 but it was just a normal version with basic stuff already programmed in it. I can't really personally use a canned tuner for my app, but with all the hubub here lately on the canned vs custom debate, I thought I'd throw this out there. After being more or less someone who gave advice to those stockers out there to just go canned for a long time, after listening to mike and what he had to say about what he does in his tuning I think it could benefit anyone, since he re-writes it all, not just he bare bones basics.
