ASE Mechanic Edge Question

You can beat a vehicle and not change the oil and it will still function for a little while. Was there a tranny tear down? Were there any indications of wear? How do these wear indications compare to another tranny of equal miles that was not edge tuned? I guess I may be asking for too much from an aftermarket supplier. I would like to run my truck on the edge (unit is supposed to be here tomorrow) but this is not a lease. I plan on keeping it for a long time. If something goes early I am stuck with the bill. I will try to get on the edge radio tomorrow and ask then.

It would be interesting to know what cal codes were having issues with shifts. I know asinatra said his was horrible. I have never felt the need yet to adjust any shift pressures and I have never had any harsh or violent shifts and I have been running around for over a month now. I honestly don't worry about the transmission at all.

Sorry to sidetrack the thread but could you share what your dealer quoted you for the extended warranty??? Please?

Thanks

They do have quite a bit of room to move in their pricing.
OK now he's posted the resolution. It wasn't caused by his Edge. Good. You guys have nothing to worry about. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=70
OK. Edge installed. Not too worried anymore. People were acting like this thing turned your truck into a rocket. It made a small difference but nothing that seems like it would cause premature wear. Shifts are slightly firmer and the throttle lag is still there just not as predominant. You can tell the torque management is still present. Asinatra was acting like the tranny was going to jump out of the truck on the shifts. Simply not true. It is raining here so no 0-60 or ¼ mile times. Oh I am on level 2 with 87 octane, I have the latest updates as of tonight. I will try level 3 sometime down the road after I determine if my mpg went up at all on level 2. I also filled up tonight and reset the average mpg, I will test it when I fill up to determine how much of a difference there is between the math and the gage.
