Help with edge pod color
I've got an 04 Lariat with tan interior.
Does anyone know where I can get a paint that will exactly match the grey trim that the edge pod sits on top of?
I'm sure someone has got a painted edge pod in their tan interior truck.
What color did you use? Any pics?

O.O
I used Dupli-Color interior like I read on another furum.....it looks great to me...but no, it is not a match. Its close enough that I just dont care. But then again my F-Truck is used as a truck, I dont wash her but once a year or so, and I aint skeered to get a scratch or dent in it. As long she runs good, gets the job done, and lasts 3-4 years Im all good with it. You sound like your more into the astics of the truck, so you may not like a mismatch. In that case...here is what you do. Get out your wallet and hand the entire thing to your dealerships body shop and ask them if they could kindly mix you a factory match pint of interior paint. Then ask them to spray the pod with said mixed paint. Im thinking your going to have at least $100 in this.....unlike my 6 bucks...lol.

I bet i could do it for under $10. Just because I want it to match doesn't mean I have to go to the dealer, have them mix the paint and paint it.
The way you describe how you care for your truck makes me wonder why you painted it at all.
There are thousands upon thousands of color combinations out there, it's just a matter of finding the right one. Or finding someone who has already found the right one.. Ahh the internet, what a wonderful thing!

LOL....I dont go out of my way to damage the thing...but I use it to haul race engines, trannys, rear ends....and who knows what else. Its usually got oil and grease and anti-freez seeping out of the bed and on the back bumper. The interior gets stained from my greasy cloths, and the steering wheel is constantly needing cleaning from my grubby hands. I have rubber on the floor for my oily boots. So, you see, its not my truck to drive back and forth to my office in the city. Its a work horse, rode hard, put away wet, and expected be ready at a moments notice to haul, tow, pull, smash, move, push or pull whatever comes my way. I make my living in my truck for the most part, and it pays for itself. Thats why if it lasts 3-4 years of my life, it deserves the easy life the 2nd owner will most likely give it. I have been known to tow farm tractors, push box trucks, and have it out in the farm quite often. Its dirty, greasy, and well loved. Alot like me
where do you live.. bring it by my house in Orlando and I'll detail it for you... poor truck
I work construction but I manage to keep my truck clean.
But I can see how if you have a job where it's constantly getting dirty... keeping it clean is basically a waste of time.

Screw the scrubber... I have found "tuff stuff" carpet cleaner to be pretty awesome stuff. Spray it on, let it set a minute or two, and scrub with a damp rag.. It's taken every stain out that I've tried it on.
