Hi;

Check this thread out - note the only change you should really make (other than to correct for your 35" tire size), is the small one for the 2-3 shift points - leave everything else alone. Yeah, I know it's for the 1745 but I believe the adjustment & it's effect is similar ...

Use the Search feature to find more info....

Exactly - just take all the "Superchips" settings when you load your tuning, with ONE exception - raise the 2-3 upshift point by 2 mph, but leave everything else alone (meaning take the "Superchips" settings for everything else.

That one change will help it get back up into Overdrive quicker after a load event, like going up a grade, etc, where it has had to downshift into 3rd gear - I know that shouldn't affect going back up into 4th by making a 2-3 upshift point change, for the way that unit hits certain tales, it does.

Other than that, just make sure to READ and FOLLOW the clear instruction manual that comes with the 1714, and you will not have a problem - Also, if you have any general questions about the 1714, use the SEARCH feature here, as it's all been gone over many times before no matter what you can think to ask, so it's available here 24 hrs a day via the SEARCH feature.

Congratulations on your 1714, & good luck!
