I Messed-up My Xcal2 Today.

I was re-installing the 93 octane performance tune today and i tryed changing some things like air/fuel ratio, shift points, revs limit and etc...and now every time when i try to re-load the original Troyer's 93 performance tune that i messed-up with the information that i changed it's still there. Is there any way to recupe the original 93 performance tune when i first got the Xcal2 or will i have to send it back to Troyer to get it fixed. Thanks a lot guys.

I don’t think that problem has ever surfaced here on this forum before. Your best bet would be calling Troyer Performance; they’ll be able to give you the exact answer. You can order an e-fan controller while you’re at it too

Its not as bad as you think! Here is your solution. connect Xcal2 and select program ecu with custom tune select your tune and when you get to the point that you turn the key on select yes for options. Now just go into each one and set back to zero, (which is the starting point for all parameters, except the idle speeds) save your changes and upload! I would bet that you found that Mikes tune was optimal and anything that you changed was detrimental. Tuning these new ECUs is best left to the pros. The only changes an end user should make is tire size and final drive ratios unless they know what they are doing.

Good grief, not again.............................

First it's the fan controller that got broken during installation that you posted in this section which has nothing to do with electric fans, but instead should have been called in to us for Tech Support - and now this problem you created with your tuning - PLEASE - read & follow our instructions!

Rafa, not reading & following our instructions is precisely what has gotten you into this predicament. Nobody else is qualified to provide Tech Support for us, on *any* of our products (and no offense to 05Silver who graciously tried to help you) - that help you need to get from *us*, not from the Internet at large. The Internet at large is not qualified to provide Tech Support on our products - only *we* are - Just as is clearly pointed out in large, bold lettering right there on Page 1 of your custom tuning docs from us, and in the docs for your electric fan kit, if you have a problem with any product purchased from us, you need to call *us* so we can help you - you'll find we are more than willing to help, but yo have to call us to get that help - which is why we point that out in such large and bold lettering in our documentation, so nobody can possibly miss seeing it.

Let's see if we can help calm your worries a bit, OK? So first, let me say for you to just try to relax, as this will be OK - we can work thru this, so don't worry.

What you need to do right now is to return your tuning back to the STOCK FACTORY TUNE - do that before you do ANYTHING else. THEN you can reload our performance tuning, and when you do that, leave it alone - do NOT go into the custom parameters and try to change things, just follow our instructions and leave those areas alone - then you'll be back to the tuning we provided.

Just so you will know, IF the A/F's actually required changing in any way (which you cannot know without having them tested), *WE* have to do that - You cannot do that properly with that unit, you cannot scale or re-write the MAF transfer function, and *that* is what is actually required to dial in Air/Fuel ratios if & when they actually require adjustment - so that is something we have to do here for you. And we'll be happy to do that, if that is actually needed once we see your datalogging info, that is all part of our custom tuning package.

Rafa, I suggest that you give us a call so that we can go over a few things with you, so you'll have a better understanding of what to do and what not to do with the products you have purchased from us, OK?

That's what we're here for at Troyer Performance, to help our customers when they need it, and we're happy to do that for you - so please call us as soon as you can, OK?

Thanks, & good luck!

Troyer just told me to download the stock tune and then download the 93 performance tune again and the problem is solved, i didn't order the e-fan controller yet. Thanks for your interest dude. Waiting to get a Whipple S/C before the middle of february, that is what Chris from Whipple Superchargers told me. I hope that happens, i am crazy to install that thing on my truck.
