Approiate threads in this forum.

A thread has just been removed for getting out of hand AGAIN.
The thread starter should have known better as MT would have, i'm sure, preferred he not do this.
The kind of forum is difficult to manage from certain points of view IMO.
Other people come here with questions about other makes and tunes, expecting a more open platform for answers, only to run ito a large amount of bias from over loyality to one vendor.
I would remind all to take a different approch to this formum or accept the results like has just happened.
I donot have a tuner of any type and not defending any vendor but observing what is happening here, as a moderator on another (non truck) board.
Thanks for reading this.

Bluegrass --

Thanks for your insight. As a fellow moderator, I appreciate what you've noted. Further, your thoughts on content within this forum are duly noted and appreciated as well.

We do need to have a more concerted effort towards keeping things on track and not letting things spin out of control. Everyone here is a human and, with that being said, there will be problems and disagreements... which are fine and expected. Conflict and respectful disagreements are a way of life in all facets however, they've gone a bit far lately.

Additionally, most folks have 'preferences' on products; be it paper towels, underwear, or tuners/chips/programmers. The key is to not let things get you so bent out of shape that you feel it necessary to lash out or battle until your death defending such products. We're all passionate about our trucks or we wouldn't be here... we all share that common bond.

I feel pretty strongly about this one and will be in this forum much more often to help police the problems that have been spiraling within these walls. This forum has never had problems until the 'my daddy is better than your daddy' scenarios started playing out. Those need to stop.

My bottom line feel on this topic is that everyone is entitled to their opinion, their choice of underwear/tuners/paper towels, and their right to post about said topics but, when they start turning into a childish pot stirring, post-padding, immature, useless rolling stone of banter, it's gone too far. This has happened far too frequently lately and it will stop.

In closing, I'll say again that I'm not trying to play 'big bad macho moderator guy' here but more trying to keep the peace so that information can be shared, people can enjoy this place, and will continue to utilize this place. We have a very good group of folks that frequent f150online.com and it's important that we continue to draw in quality people. The constant fray here will deter that from happening and that's not something that anyone here wants to happen...

Excellent Point

Well said by you both. I am new to the forum but not the fords. My first was a 51 flat head and there have been many since, good ones and not so good ones. There are some knowledgable people here but the bantering is ridiculous. I am interested in a tuner but not interested in getting in the middle of the mines better than yours garbage which has been prevelent since I joined. Thre are people here 1/3 my age that have knowledge and experiance that can help but than others that just plain make it worth not reading. The days of "little boxes" to make my 150 go faster and shift better are very interesting to me as I have spent a life time under the hood to accomplish the same results. Hopefully things will settle down, and this forum wiil become a wealth of good information.

Thank you for the supporting position.
I suspect we have much in common as I have raced flatheads on dirt years ago both stock and modified and now run a 351w powered sprinter.
Welcome and try to overlook most of the hot air.

I just look at it as a form of amusement.

Amusement is fine if that's what your looking for...........
But for those of us that want to expand his or her knowlage of the truck and it's components that we drive this constant bickering and one-upsmanship is getting old.
Thankyou Bluegrass & RockPick for standing tall and defending what you and I enjoy..............INFORMATION...........
