Best Shift Points on 3V 5.4L Engine?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering what the best WOT shift points were on the 3V 5.4L engine?

I was searching though the forums and noticed that mike troyer stated the best shift rpms and such for the 2V 5.4L engine, but im not having luck finding the points for the new engine.

I have an edge Programmer which allows you to set your own RPM shift points and rev limiter.

What rpm's would give me the best performance without hurting my torque convertor or engine.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick;

Here's a link from a quickie search - this is in response to a similar question from a guy with an '05 5.4L 3V ...

The correct answer is from Mike, not that other guy

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...t=shift+points

Hope this helps.

Cheers

My 1-2 & 2-3 up shifts are right in the sweet spot (5362 or so)

Grog,

Thank you very much. that is what i was looking for i was hoping to get mike's response as well so that worked out great.

I know mike said 5400 but im kind of scared of that with the stock torque convertor mabey i'll just put it at 5300 and call it a day..
