Custom Tuner Question?

I have a 98 F-150 w 4.6L that has 130,610 miles on it. With the cost of new trucks being what they are, I have decided to keep the old one and try to give it some new life. I have added a K&N intake kit and a flowmaster 50 series catback system so far. I would like to add a tuner to the mix, but dont want to run gas higher than 91 octane because of fuel costs. Which tuner would you guys reccommend for a noticable difference in performance and what kind of gains would I be looking at. Are there any other items on my truck that would need to be changed when adding a tuner because of the higher mileage (air sensors, etc.). Also, what happens when you set your tuner for performance and occasionally tow with your truck? Thanks for your help

Yes, Mike can set you up with a custom tune, for any octane gas you want. Everyone is getting the Xcal II right now, and why not, its the best there is pretty much. Myself, Ill skip on if for something a little cheaper .
If you tow on the performance tune, there is a good chance that your going to get some very high exhaust gas temps, and can ruin something. So its best just to put in your tow program anytime you are going to be towing.
As for changing stuff, when you order a tune from Mike you will get a Custom Program Worksheet, and it will ask about some of the maintenance that has been performed (last time 02 sensors were changed, oils, coolant, etc). On a truck with that many miles, some of that stuff its getting to the end of its lifespan, so, you might as well replace it, so 1) You KNOW and can mark that all that stuff is brand new (as you might not know when some of this stuff was changed, or its its been changed at all), and 2) you have a fresh truck with all new stuff, and dont have to worry about it. Thats what I would do anyway.

So, hopefully I didnt screw any info up, and that should hold you over till Mike chimes in here, which Im sure he will.
