Good luck, I know the feeling.

No need to be anxious - be EAGER! The only anxiety you may feel is 'am I gonna get a speeding ticket?'

Hey John (Flyin'Hawaiian),

Don't worry, your tuning has already been done.

Contrary to come myths being promoted here, right now, as of this moment, it is only 14 business days from the time we receive the completed CPW's until we have the tuning done and are shipping it out the door.

Now all this week, we had everyone's tunes shipped in a manner so that they would get to them in time for Christmas, even if they were far away (like you in Hawaii) and ordered it shipped ground, as we wanted as many people as possible to have their tuning by Christmas.

Right now, everyone who had their CPW's in to us by December 6th has their tuning *done* - well, there are 2 exceptions to that, but only because they left off information we needed and haven't heard anything back form our phone calls, emails, etc yet.

So I think you will be smiling very soon there, Flyin'Hawaiian, as you should have it in time for Christmas!

If we have your email address, you should get an email with your trucking number - now we don't *always* get that done, and this week with as busy as we were, we may have missed a few - but usually as long as we have the customer's email address, and UPS does their job too, each customer gets an email from us with their UPS tracking number so they can see where their shipment is.

Merry Christmas!!

MELE KALIKIMAKA :santa: ...But there's a little down side. It was originally scheduled for delivery tomorrow...the 23rd. I just checked and it was re-scheduled for the 27th.

But, I'm a happy camper nonetheless!

Mahalo!

Hi Flyin'

I'm very sorry to hear that, in fact, it makes me furious with as hard as I personally worked to get your tuning done and ship it out so that you would have it TODAY. It was so very important to me personally that you have it in time for Christmas. I'm sorry, I really tried.

But instead, it hit Ontario California TODAY, Friday the 23rd at 4:09 am and left there at 6:01 am - and went God-knows-where. All we know right now (and I just checked even though we are closed, I went to the office & fired up the network) is rescheduled for delivery to you just as you said, on December 27th - so this is a UPS screw-up. We shipped it out on the 21st and sent it by UPS Blue 2-day shipping to get it there by today, the 23rd.

I really don't know what I can say other than that I am sorry it did not get there today - and you can bet we'll be following up with UPS.

So please accept our profound apologies, I really wanted it sitting under your Christmas tree on Sunday by having it arrive there today - I wish you could have seen what was going on here to get your tune out, as it was one of the last ones we did to get out in time for delivery for Christmas.

Well, words just don't mean much at this point, other than to say I'm really sorry, John. Thanks for your understanding on this, and we hope you will enjoy it when it arrives on the 27th.

Merry (belated) Christmas!

Thanks for your understanding, John.

By the way, I spent 4 years in Hawaii (mostly Schofield Barracks) (sp?), it's been so long ago I can hardly remember it, as I was a tyke, and this was before Hawaii was even made a state (which happened in 1959).

One of my fondest memories (aside from the sheer beauty of things like Diamondhead) was of my Dad's old '54 Pontiac straight 8 - wouldn't turn much over 4500 rpms or so if memory serves, but it sure had torque and would pull about 115 mph if you could let it out long enough (don't ask how I knew that at age 3 ). At the time, the highest speed limit was 45 mph, yet there was a pretty strong hot-rodding scene way back then.

I also remember trying to imitate my dad with my red fire engine, you know, the old kind that had pedals so you could make it move like a bicycle - I left plenty of tire marks practicing how to lay onto those pedals hard enough to spin the back tires on the sidewalk - yep, I got the hot-rodding disease at a very early age.

I can't even imagine what HI is like these days..............

Enjoy your holidays, & hope you get your tuner soon!

Hi Mike,
Sorry to hear you had shipping problems and especially to Flyin' Hawaiian.

My wife manages a UPS delivery center here in So Cal. She has 217 drivers working for her. Her crew has been working the maximum number of hours allowed by DOT. They had a 19% unexpected increase in volume due to internet ordering. It has been a trying time for her as well. She has been working 14 hour days with no breaks and 15-20 minute lunches. I know I brought her lunch a few times.

I can understand everyones pain, the shipper (you) and the recipient (FH) but if you have seen what I have seen. You may understand the why a little better.

I know it's not your fault and you purchased a product that didn't perform as promised but I can tell you everyone involved, from my outsider point of view, tried their best to get your product delivered on time. This does not excuse them from their commitment and I would demand a refund.

It was a big miscalculation at the corporate level of upper echelon management and their staffing decisions. If you really want lodge a complaint and be heard. Then don't do it at 800 number level but have it elevated to the corporate level. As a faithful shipper with them, they will listen.

I can't apologize for UPS but they have one had one he!! of time.

I hope this helps, at least just a little.

Happy New Year

Andy

I'm really happy for you, Flyin, you are going to love it. I can't wait to get mine back, had to send it back for a retune on the the 6th. Hopefully I will see that e-mail soon telling me it's on its way.

By the way I had a chance to spend 11 days this year in Maui for the first time. What a great place. I cant imagine being able to live there.

Enjoy your tunes
