Somebody is trying to keep me from getting my XCal2

...well...my WIFE'S XCal...

Yesterday...checked UPS.com..Xcal was well on it's way.

Now...the status?

Status: Exception

Package Progress:

Date/Time:

Dec 15, 2005
8:00 P.M.

Location:
SEATTLE, WA, US

Activity:
THE SHIPMENT WAS MISROUTED BY RAIL

I called UPS...the lady couldn't tell me anything else...

"The package was placed on the wrong truck, but now appears to be headed towards your local distribution center...I won't know if it gets there until that center updates the status. You 'may' Get the package Monday...."

Useless...This is the first time I've had UPS Flake out on me...why did it have to happen with something I need to get, get wrapped, and get under the tree w/o her getting suspicious? Monday...and Tuesday...she'll be home to get the box.

Arggghh....I'll just have to tell her, won't I? Good = She'll be happy I spent stuff on her. Good = I'll get to upload the tune sooner. Bad = One less present she'll get to open.

blah...I know...I know...it'll be worth the wait, right?

Question: Troyer probably paid UPS for shipping - as I don't remember a seperate 'shipping' fee in my invoice. I wonder if UPS should refund some $ back to Troyer because UPS didn't live up to it's bargain (getting the product here in a timely manner)?

SO I guess telling you mine is installed and awesome is not the best thing to do huh? j/k

It is worth the wait, trust me I barely have 5 miles on it, and I am ready to go for a long drive in an hour. Night and day is all I can say, I am running the 93 OCT tune.

It's just frustrating...I mean...UPS...c'mon..they're pretty good, right? So close, yet so far...it's sorta like my X girl who I still love, dating a neighbor. I mean, she'd be RIGHT THERE...yet so far away..

:-/

I'm really looking forward to 20-30hp and equal amounts of torque increases.

Hi DMP,

Sorry to hear you are having a UPS issue - however, they usually get it taken care of pretty quickly.

Now because I deal with so many people here, forgive me, but I can't remember your *real* name tied to your screen name here - but if you would lie to give us a call, we are willing to call UPS ourselves to see if we cna do any good for this in any way for you - I can't make any guarantees, other than that we will get all over UPS and make happen anything that is within our power to make happen.

All of that being said - Christmas is every shipping company's worst time, and the time they make the most mistakes - however, UPS still has a 99.8% hit rate for us to date over the years during the Christmas season - which is frankly, pretty darned amazing just to me as a "shipping layman," so to speak.

So please don't hesitate to cal if you'd like to to explore this from our end, OK?

We'll keep our fingers crossed for you,

Thanks Mike -

The unit arrived Monday...yesterday.

I sent you an email on Saturday, after talking with UPS - in a nut shell they said 'so we messed up...deal with it.' When I asked what they'd do to make things right they suggested they'd refund the shipping cost to whomever shipped the product. Maybe you guys can get a few bucks back? Might be worth a shot.
