My buddy has a 2005 f-150 4x2 on 20"rims with what I believe are nitto low profiles. All he has is a hypertech as well as 3.73 LS. My truck on the other hand has the AirRaid intake, Throttle Body Spacer (Paper Weight), as well as a magnaflow SISO cat back exhaust with 3.55 LS. I am also on 17X10 Welds mounted on 285/70/R17 All terrains. His truck seems rather peppy compared to mine and we haven't raced since I put on the exhaust but in the past, it's been pretty even until he starts to pull me the longer the race goes. I'm waiting to get my XCAL2 and then pull up next to him......do you think the XCAL 2 along with my other mods should be enough to leave his a$$ in the dust????
I CANT FREAKIN WAIT!!!!
I CANT FREAKIN WAIT!!!!
Dude hes got 20's so most of that advantage of the gears is probably evened out by that. The xcal will whoop on the Supchips canned tuna (from what I know), and thats why I am buying it monday.

Hi Tigga,
Well, this type of thing is pretty hard to predict, primarily because the 2004 & up F-150 varies more than almost any vehicle I have ever seen - while some will easily throw down 260+ RWHP, a lot more will throw down @48-250 RWHP, and some will throw down 237 RWHP - and I mean all of them being identically configured. This is due in no small part to the fact that there are a number of the 2004 & up F-150's that run so lean from the factory, like 15:1 lean.
Now, all else being equal - meaning, if we had 2 identically configured trucks that were both making the exact same power in STOCK trim - then once you have our tuning, it wouldn't be much of a contest, you'll pull him pretty hard.
But the reality is, only time will tell - I'm betting on you, but that's also some pride speaking there, and pride isn't factual - the only thing that really matters are the results, and most importantly, actually *understanding* why the rests are whatever they are - which requires knowing what the vehicles did in stock trim, by datalogging both of them thoroughly - something that is not possible in this case - so to s certain extent, it's down to a mater of luck, meaning how these vehicles behaved from the factory that will have a large impact on the results once you get your tuning.
Of course your vehicle will be significantly quicker with our tuning - and all else being equal, you should walk away from him - but many times "all things are NOT equal" - so the truth is, only time will tell - but my money is on you.
By the way, I enjoyed speaking with you last night, & hopefully your tuning should have arrived it today, as we overnighted it out yesterday for you.
Good luck!
