has any one chipped their f 150s for 86 octane and was their any milageandor power gainsto be had

 

I went straight to the 91 octane tune...but then I only drive about 100 miles a week. Mileage isn't that important to me...performance is!

Just the Superchips 1714, and it made a huge difference!

 

i am running the 87 octane tune right now (Xcal2) and i noticed a slight decrease in mileage on the first tank. i'm currently on my second tank of gas (filled up with 91 octane in prep for 91 perf tune) still running the 87 tune but noticed a dramatic decrease in mileage. i usually get anywhere from 90 - 100 miles on first 1/4 tank or about 315 miles/tank. right now i'm at 70 miles on the first 1/4! i just switched over from chevron to shell...i don't know if the tune isn't compensating for the higher octane or what but i haven't changed my driving habits since i installed the new tune and i've never got mileage that lousy unless i was towing something extremely heavy. hopefully the 91 perf tune will straighten things out or i may have to get a second job just to feed this gas guzzling beast
