Not to beat a dead horse or anything...

I just wanted to post some more observations on my x-cal II after a couple of months of use. I've been on the 93 perf tune exclusively for about 1000 miles now and it continues to amaze me. The truck starts instantly in the mornings and driveability is much better when cold. Several times I have been sitting at a light in gear, ac on, 100 deg heat and had to look at the tach to see if its still running...its that smooth and quiet. The part I like best, other than the wide open rush, is the little things you take for granted on a good running truck. Like rolling around a corner in neighborhood and step on the gas, no lag just smooth easy power. Another example is running down the highway at 70 in OD and lightly step on the gas to pass, no horrible lag, just torque converter unlocking and ample power to pass with no downshift. The drastic increase in power is intoxicating, I find myself looking for other vehicles to spank! I've read pretty much every post Mike T has on here and I still can't believe he can transform a vehicle like this. My hat is off to you Mr Troyer.

This is how I hope my truck runs once I get my XCAL2 back from Troyer. All the things you talk about here are exactly what my truck would not do with any of my tunes. Infact it did just the opposite.

Hi SAJEFFC,

Thanks for your post, glad to hear you're enjoying it!

Actually, it's great posts like yours that tend to make a few think that their truck is suddenly supposed to defy the laws of physics - it's amazing how people's perspective is so different - and it's always the ones who do no datalogging whatsoever, have never done the first formal back-to-back comparison, etc., that always complain the loudest, and follow every "happy" post from anyone else they can find to moan & complain all about how bad their experience was, and think that their truck should defy the laws of physics to suddenly be a rocketship with little to no throttle in Overdrive, etc - Amazing...............

Thanks again for your realistic post & hope you continue to have fun!

So, I guess I am one of the three, Where do we go now that you seem pissed and you now have My tuner that was shipped back to you at you request. To be honest im not looking for a rocket ship just a truck that will respond when I gas it to pass. All along I've figured it was a problem with my truck not your tunes. As I was told through Crystall you thought maybe there was a Flash from the dealer that you or I did not know about therfore I needed to send it back to you because you said something was not right.
-Amazing.................

Relax MHP I'm sure Mike will take of you. Purchasing this tuner is my first dealings with Troyer Performance but I can tell you it won't be my last. I am in the automobile business and believe me in todays market if you can't do the customer service thing right you don't survive, their's is impeccable in my book. Just remember, these are 6000 pound plus vehicles so it will never feel like a Mustang GT. The improvements in my truck were more than I ever dreamed of and I couldn't be happier but its still no Lightning! I would just let Mike work his magic and I'll bet you a beer he makes you as happy as he did me.

Good! And I really don't think anyone was slamming you. I've never met the man, wouldn't know him from Adam but I DO know that he know's what he's doing when it comes to tuning these trucks!
