Towing with Superchips 1745

I am usng the premium tune and am getting close to winter now. I will be towing a snowmobile trailer that weighs max 1500 lbs with 2 sleds and usually around 900 lbs with one sled. I remember something about towing a trailer over 4000 lbs when I was setting the tune. Is it ok to leave this tune in with such low weights and what happens if you do?

Hi FTT,

Double-check the docs that came with your 1745, as there is at least one tune in there that you can tow up to 4000 lb. with, that is not specifically the "Towing" tune - the docs will tell you on this!

In the 1714 for the 2004's you can tow at least 4000 lb on any of it's tunes, but the 1745 is a bit different, if memory serves, so do a quick double-check on your 1745's docs on this to be sure, OK?

Not too sidetrack from the towing issue...but since you mentioned the 1745...

I just went from the 87 to the 93 setting, it's amazing how each tune can really make your truck seem like a different ride.

Anyways....I love the feel of the 93 setting. Quick off the get go for sure.
