1714 shift problem!!???

I loaded the 87 octane program in my 04 f150 this morning (had anticipated on towing something, but didnt) and when driving off it would barely shift in to 2nd and would not go into 3rd!!! I didnt view the options like normal but the only settings that i change are tire size and rev limiter/speed limiter. I immedietely pulled over and reloaded the program and reviewed the settings. The settings were as i had them before but the problem went away. Any ideas on what could have caused this?

Your tire size is not stock? What size did you enter and what tire size are you running?

Sorry, I can't be of more help. My only suggestion would be to call tech help at Superchips if it happens again.

Oh, and let us know how the problem was solved.

I had the same thing when I tried to re-load my Max Perf tune and accept the defaults (raise rev limit, keep speed limiter), it refused to shift into second. If I make a change, any change... it works just fine. Try that. Since I didn't care for the 'superchips' shift pressures I set my own and didn't worrry about that little issue of not shifting and all...

I posted a thread called 'transmission gremlins' or something of the like about it.

Ok, it must be something with the 1714 then. I was like "Uh OH!!! Transmission problem!! " Crazy stuff, though.
