How many trucks?

Hi, does anybody know how many trucks can be programed with the superchips. The reason is 2 of my cousins have the same type of truck.
2 XLT 4.6 V8 and 1 FX4 5.4 V8 (all 2005).

Thanks

Hi. ONE at a time, with ANY device.

With the 17xx devices, as many as you wish as long as each is returned to STOCK before migrating.

With the Custom flashers, there is VIN locking to consider, and I believe a finite # of Dealer unlocks allowed, before the dealer has to intervene again.

Cheers

I believe youd be able to tune all of them but you would only have one stock program, it would not save everyones stock program just the last guys to use it. Not sure try it out man.

I haven't tried it but I have read posts on this forum where someone bought a used programmer and plugged it into their truck and it said 'vin locked'. Obviously the person that sold it to them didn't return their truck back to the stock program.

Yep, I submitted my vin # for my new custom tuned programmer - prevents intellectual theft.
However, I also have a generic tuner which retrieves and stores the stock program from the PCM, and installs an available program from the tuner to the PCM.
It will work over and over again one tune at a time.
I can sell this one to anyone with 97 -02 ... 4.6 or 5.4. I purchased it with that in mind, and as long as they have my original proof of purchase, they can send it back to the company for service, &tc.
