Waiting for XCAL2
Question for anyone who has already received their XCAL2 from Troyer. When UPS delivered the package were you required to sign for it? Reason I'm asking is because I won't be home tomorrow to sign for the package and I don't want UPS to not deliver.
Hi jrack,
We do not require a signature unless either the customer requests signature only delivery, or if it's going to an apartment, etc. What happens is, we normally ship it so that the UPS driver has the discretion to decide if *they* need a signature for delivery to protect their interests. For example, if they are delivering i an area where they have had problems, then the driver can decide to require a signature - otherwise, if nobody is home, they usually leave it at the front door, on the porch, etc - it's literally up to the driver as long as it's not an apartment or condo complex.
And of course, you get the tracking number so you can see right there if it was sent form us as a signature required type of shipment - again, we do that only when requested, or if it's going to an apartment or condo type of address.
Good luck!

I got my worksheets in yesterday so I have a bit of a wait. Oh well, the electric fans and pullies I decided to buy today should keep me busy. I've had this truck less than a week and I've ordered $1000 in mods for it already. I need help...
For jrack,
Many times the UPS drivers will leave them with the apartment front office just as you mentioned - if that is their normal procedure in your area & for that particular apartment complex, then that is usually what the UPS driver does.
For 05SilverFX4,
I know what you mean - at first you think you're patient, but then you read more & more here, place your order & start to get anxious. By the way - forgive me for "intruding," but just in case - I don't know if you are aware (mainly because there is so much we do that is not on our web site), but we do offer a great front brake upgrade kit for these new style F-150's that come with the 6-lug rotors - just thought I'd mention that since you mentioned that you're going to be getting some ceramic front pads. Just FYI -most ceramic pads generally don't work really well on the street - most need a lot of heat to work well, so ceramic pads tend to be more of a track item. If you ever want to go over any brake info for these new trucks before you spend any money on any other type of pads, etc., feel free to give us a call & we can go over that with you - (you may already know all about it & if so, just ignore me here.
) Generally speaking, I don't advise changing to non-factory pads on these new 2004 & up F-150's, as the stock brakes are pretty good for "non-performance" applications, and when you;re not having to slow down a big heavy load coming down a long steep mountain grade, etc - they are better in their anti-fade properties than say, the 1997-2003 F-150's were. On these newer trucks, we advise upgrading the front calipers & pads, rather than just the pads. That way you get some *real* improvement in sheer raw braking power, but still aren't spending BIG$$$ for expensive rotors, can still use the stock wheel size, etc. Just mentioning that for whatever it might be worth, & best of luck whatever you decide on that!
For The Brute,
Sounds like you have enough stuff on the way to keep you busy for a little while! Great upgrades doing the e-fans & underdrive pulleys - I'm a big fan of those types of mods, reducing parasitic losses gets you more torque all the time, at any throttle position or rpm, as well as help with the fuel mileage. We'll get your tuning done just as quickly as possible, too - have fun with your installs!

I dig that pic of your truck in the snow. Beautiful country. I live in Fla and rarely get to see snow.
