Question for Mike T.
Question for Mike T.
Sorry that I have to post a question rather than call. I work way out in a remote area w/o cell coverage, and I can't call out on a land line etc, but I do have internet access so here goes. I called on 15Aug and talked to a female there whose name I can't remmeber now, sorry. Anyway I ordered an AF1 intake and a custom tune Xcal2. I gave her my preferred tunes, ECM #, etc. Now after reading posts on here it seems people received a questionaire in the mail that they filled out and sent in to help you set their tunes. Being that I gave her the tunes that I wanted do I still get this form? I haven't received a questionaire in the mail yet so I was just wondering. I know there is a long wait, she said 15-20 days to ship. So I'm not bitching about the time frame, just curious? Reading all these posts here everyday is driving me crazy, I can't wait to get the tuner and intake!!!!!!!! TIA.
Hi Wheelerfreak,
No problem! What normally happens once you place your order for our tuning is, one of our staff will go over with you what 3 different types of tunes we need to do for the way you use your vehicle, towing, local octane levels & preferences, etc.
Then from there yes, you still DO get an email (usually it's an email, though a few people want us to snail-mail it to them so it takes much longer) within a couple of days that contains a ZIP file - inside which is not only our Custom Program Worksheets (which are basically mechanical configuration worksheets & maintenance history, so we know exactly what is on the vehicle & how it's cared for, etc., in writing to use along with the consultation that took place when you placed your order), but also a very thorough set of datalogging instructions for those with more heavily modified vehicles - you know, the kind where there's a supercharger & other mods, etc., where we're going to have to do several rounds of changes to "dial-in" the tuning spot-on.
So it sounds as if you might not have gotten that email with our CPW's from us, perhaps? If that is the case, please shoot us an email to sales@troyerperformance.com - along with your name & basically what & when you ordered (and make sure we have your email address, as sometimes it gets messed up in the header!!), and we'll make sure to shoot you out that same info we send ALL Troyer Performance custom tuning customers via email (or if you need it snail-mailed, we can do it that way, too - though I highly recommend email, as it's soooo much quicker!)
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, & please do shoot us an email if you have not yet received our Custom Program Worksheets - and you'd know if you got them or not yet, trust me!
Last - my apologies if we have somehow not gotten those CPW's to you yet - but if you wouldn't mind just shooting us a quick reminder in email (I don't' know who you are or I'd do it myself right away for you!), we'll make sure that happens for you, OK?
Thanks again, & talk to you soon!

Yeah, I never got an email with the zip file. I'll send off an email to you as soon as I finish posting this. Thanks for the quick response!

Hi WF,
OK, I just followed up with our staff, and found out that it was actually Anita (my wife) who said she sent you our normal email with all that info our this morning, so you should hopefully have it by now - you let me know if you don't get it, OK

I got it this morning, filled it out and faxed it back this afternoon. hopefully it got there OK, I had to restart the fax machine midway. It seemed to go out though.

Then, of course, we use a computer (pc) to send raves about said changes to a lot of other computers (you guys), while attempting to keep from drooling all over the keyboard.
Uh oh.. I think I just confused myself - easy for a caveman to do
Me go eat now.

Hey, ten fingers, ten different tunes!
Even better...
All trucks will have an IP address. (some luxo-wagons are already so equipped).
Wireless networking will be everywhere. Pull up to your local Starbucks' Wi-Fi hotspot in the meantime
Your truck's CAN will be connected to the Web.
Mike will be able to flash your truck remotely
- While you enjoy that cappuchino.
- Or - how about the other way around - remote datalogging - using the same infrastructure as above?
Hey - we already have two-way On-Star and internet-aware beer fridges - this ain't that much of a stretch
Jeez, what am I gonna do with my 9100 e-mail kit???
Cheers
