Me too!

I have been debating other modifications to follow and I think that my next purchase will be the SISO magnaflo. I have always been a big fan of dual exahust but after quite a bit of exploration the tourque enhancemants of the SISO seem to be a more viable option. Mike pretty much sealed that idea when he stated that is what they have on Anitas supercharged truck. I also think it will be an easier install even though I am a welder and the bracket problem for some would not really be that big a deal for me. On the sound side I heard the SISO on one of these threads and it sounds great! I know that this may not be the place to yap about this but this is the tread that I feel that I can get the best information on almost any mod that I make on my truck. Please forgive me if I have committed a faxpas, I will not make a habbit out of it!
Peace my brothers, I am sleeplessly awaiting the big day! You will all hear when it comes!
Ted

I ordered the Troyer Stage 1 kit and got the Magnaflow SISO. Installed it simultaneously along with the Air Fore 1 intake. The sound is a nice deep rumble for the first few seconds after starting and slowly quiets down during idle. However, when you give some gas, it comes to life with a nice growl. I’ve noticed the most power gains (and loudest roar) between 2500 – 3500 RPMs, though I rarely go that high unless climbing a hill or trying to pass someone quickly. Overall, I like the sound and the added power, so I’m happy with the enhancement. Unlike others on this forum, I’ve never once had an issue with the AF1 intake, the MAF sensor or CEL codes. The AF1 is probably a big contributor to the power increase I’ve noticed as well.

Now if I could only get my Xcal2…..(but I think I’m in front of you Okie – papers faxed on Aug. 1st!)

Though a little bit bit off topic in a couple of posts, this is an excellent thread - I say that from the (perhaps self-centered?) standpoint that it is so very rewarding to see people taking our advice based on the large amount of testing we have done with regard to their exhaust selection - that is so very important to the overall driveability & throttle response of these heavy trucks. THANK YOU!

Most aftermarket cat-back systems cause a noticeable LOSS in torque, especially below about 3000 rpm, and thus really hurt driveability and fuel economy - this is due to a lack of any real flow engineering to get the exhaust gas velocity back up & thus maintain (or even improve( cylinder scavenging when increasing exhaust tubing diameter (which slows down exhaust gas velocity and thus reduces scavenging - the actual mechanism that kills torque - not having too little backpressure, as some claim) - this is one of many areas where Magnaflow excels, which is why it's the only exhaust we recommend for these trucks.

Though there are several different Magnaflow configurations and each works well, we prefer the SISO for the best torque results - as one poster mentioned, this is what we run even on our supercharged 5.4 3V F-150, and you don't give up any HP gains over the other configurations.

Just wanted to drop by & say thanks, guys!

That is the reason that the Magnaflow exhaust will probably be my next performance mod for my F-150. Mike is like my truck doctor and I will follow his prescription to healthy truck performance.

That's very kind of you, hogfan - thanks for your faith, I only hope we can live up to it!
