Very happy!

Finally got to take the truck out to the track last weekend. Even though I could only use my 91 octane tow tune ( our local fuel quality sucks ) I still busted off a 15.77 at 87.23 mph with 90 degree air temps. Not too shabby for a 5000 lb+ truck. Now if I can find some good fuel I should beable to knock another tenth or so off with the max perf tune. This stage 2 kit from Troyer has really impressed me. Just wanted to say thanks to Mike,Anita and Crystal for the great products and the second to none customer service.

Hi scsmity,

Actually, with it being a SuperCrew that's more like 6000+ lb weight!!

Running a 15.77 is pretty darned good under those conditions - but there's always more.

Whenever you get a chance, call me & lets talk about all your runs, your time slips, exactly which programs you ran, how you staged each time, etc., as we can usually get some more ET out of that thing for you!!

Good luck!

Sure, just give me a call & we'll go over everything.

In the meantime, when you "stage" the vehicle, stage as "shallow" as possible - meaning pull it forward very slowly, and once yo have lit the first of the top 2 small yellow lights, STOP - then just carefully inch forward until you have just *barely* lit the second yellow light. This will give you maximum "roll out" distance, so that the truck will get to travel the maximum amount of distance before the clock timing your run even starts (it starts when the trailing edge of the front tire that is furthest to the rear stops interrupting the light beam).

Staging shallow can give you another tenth or two on your ET's, as you are accelerating before the clocks actually start - it's also the easiest way for a "novice" (and please take no offense, as I have no idea your experience level) to stage consistently, and learn just how early they can launch without red lighting, etc. As you get more experienced, then you can vary your staging, and do things like staging deep to try to get an edge on the guy in the other lane, as what counts in actual competition is who makes it to the finish line first (without red lighting or breaking out).

When you're going for quickest ET's and want to learn the easy way to stage consistently so you can launch early, etc., just stage shallow & see how that affects your ET's & how soon you can "jump" the tree.

Good luck!
