Most Power I Can Get

I have a 2001 F150 7700 series supercab with a 5.4 V8. I put straight pipes on it that are 2.25 with ss tips but I want to add some things on to it and get the most power as possible. Cold air intakes, powerchips whatever it would take just as long as it whales. Any ideas or informations would be most apperciated. The only thing I don't want to really do is put a turbo charger on it since they're so expensive. Thanks

Hi TF,

We have specialized in F-150 performance for 14 years, so we can literally take the performance of your truck just as far as you want to go.

We offer performance packages in various stages, as well as handle individual parts one at a time, whatever works best for each owners' budget.

In terms of what to do first - the Top 3 best bang-for-the-buck mods are first, to have us do our custom tuning. Second, to reduce restriction in the air intake tract (intake kit, but there you have to be careful, as there are many & a lot of them are more hype than performance). Third is a proper cat-back exhaust system -

At that point, since you already have done something to open up the exhaust, by doing our custom tuning and intake kit combo, you have the top 3 areas modified. After that comes things like our underdrive pulleys & electric fan kit - then it's time to upgrade the fuel injectors, fuel pump & MAF meter to support higher levels of power, as the stock factory 19# injectors cannot support anything more after tuning, intake, exhaust, and the underdrive & e-fan setup.

But rather than go on and on here, just give us a call at our number listed below & we can go over all of this with you in proper detail, go over the cost and the results, etc., and set you up with mods that will work with your budget and get you the absolute most performance for each dollar spent - that's what we do, & most F-150 owners here come to us for their performance needs due to our well-known expertise on this platform & the results we get.

Thanks for your post & we look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you very much for the reply and not to sound dumb I have some questions cause I don't know what some of these parts really are. What exactly is a catback exhaust system. I have my truck dueled out the back with straight pipes 2.25 and I take it they don't hold a candle to what you're talking about. What do you mean by your custom tuning? I'm not a mechanic never claimed to be so this is all a learning experience for me. But I do what my truck to run stout the right way not done like a half whit. With my truck being one of the F150 7700 series with seven lug wheels not many people have one so it should be done right with style, and the right products. Thanks again Mike for all the information you've been a big help.

Not trying to speak for Mike....but, the "cat-back" exhaust means an exhaust system that replaces the stock system from the catalytic converters on back. Troyers "custom" tuning is just that, he provides a customized tune/tunes according to your needs via a Super Chips "Xcalibrator" or "Xcalibrator2" programer....actually there are THREE customized tunes included with these tuners. Call Mike and speak with his staff about your needs...you won't be sorry!

Hi Tennessee - I might also add that by utilizing the excellent Search features here on this site, you can quickly educate yourself on the terminology. And don't forget Google as well.

Cheers!

Hi Tennessee,

A "cat-back" exhaust system is a system that is designed to be a bolt-on replacement for everything from just behind the catalytic converters on back - hence the term "cat-back" I mentioned that in my last response simply because it really takes proper flow engineering to speed back up the spent exhaust flow once yo open up the flow capacity that much, so that you do not loss torque on part-throttled, and at any throttle position at lower rpms.

Since you already have your dual 2.25's, that might work out OK for you.

Just give us a call any time & we'll be happy to go over everything with you!
