Mods after tuning

I don't have anything in the near future but will i need to be retuned if i decide to upgrade more stuff?
Is there a list of things that i can do after tuning that won't require a new tuning.

things like headers, cats, injectors,..........

Hi Kurt,

This is pretty much the same as I went over in that other thread with you -

In your case, once you have done our tuning, and you have an intake kit & a good cat-back exhaust on there, then the ONLY mods you can do to increase power to the rear wheels (not ENGINE power) WITHOUT having to upgrade the fuel injectors is the underdrive pulley and our electric fan kit. I explained in detail about mods that reduce parasitic losses in that other thread, so go back and re-read that response for that info.

In other words, to actually increase ENGINE power further in the 4.2 V6 F-150 once you have done our tuning, intake & cat-back exhaust, you have to upgrade the fuel injectors - and doing that *will* require tuning changes, which we can easily email to you since you will have the flash type of tuning device.

The JBA shorty header (the only one we recommend for your truck) do not require tuning changes, as there is no significant change in distance between the upstream O2 sensor and the exhaust ports. Now with some *long-tube* headers you sometimes do need tuning changes - but there is no long-tube header for your 4.2 V6 truck (well, aside from trying to find and make fit a set of the V6 Ford factory headers from the 1996 & 1997 Ford Thunderbird V6 car - and that's not fun or easy, so I wouldn't try that route).

For more detailed info just give us a call on this - it's too much detail to type it all out, as typing takes hundreds of times longer than talking on the phone.
