Question Hypertech Shift points and rev limit

I recently got a hypertech tuner for my 2004 F150 with the 5.4L. The directions stated my rev limit should be in the owners manual, they are not. Does anybody know what I can increase my limit and shift points to?

You can go 5500 on the rev limiter, and no more than 5300 on the 1-2 & 2-3 upshift points - but don't even think of going above 4700 for the 3-4, and NEVER upshift into Overdrive (4th gear) at full-throttle. Not only would a WOT 3-4 happen only at very high speeds, but it's also a great way to kill any overdrive automatic.

Good luck!

how much horespower or torque is lost by leaving the stock firmness as - is instead of turning it on to be more firm....the shifts were way rougher so i turned it off....i do notice the hesitation in between gears....

Hi Guys

I also just bought a Hyperteck unit but I want to lower the shift points to save a few $$$ on gas. any ideas and suggestions on lower limits I seam to be constantly going up and down the gears around town shift points just wrong spot , the 5.4 engine has more power than needed for a grocer getter inthe summer. I would return to standard for winter as i plow with it.
