Superchip 1715

Hey i posted earlier about bumping up the hash marks on the 2-3 shift. When i programmed the chip the shift points were at the max. I accepted them b/c I thought this was the "Superchip" program. I couldnt bump the hash marks up any higher. What should i do? 4.6, 58K 2001

Hey Chris,

I really could have sworn I responded to that post before - hmmm....maybe I just imagined it.

Anyway, the deal is take the "Superchips" shift points, but then bump ONLY the 2-3 shift point up by exactly 2 notches over the centerline - leave the rest alone. Doing that helps them get back up into Overdrive quicker after a downshift/load event (like going up a grade, where the longer the grade is, the longer it takes to get it back up into Overdrive), in addition to giving better driveability.

Good luck!
