We are SCT's first & oldest general release dealer for their products, and the only SCT dealer authorized to make any "announcements" here in this section of F-150 Online.
*We* will be making the official announcement here when the time comes. That will happen once the new units actually exist - once they are assembled, have actually been delivered to us and we have tested them on these vehicles. Then and only then will we make the official announcement here - nobody else is authorized to make any such announcement here, and nobody should count on any specific date at this point, as nobody can say with certainty as to whether any particular date will absolutely be made or not - the reality is, only a couple of key people at the manufacturer can determine when those units will actually be released to dealers.
Over the course of the past 6 months, we have seen numerous different dates bandied about, none of which was accurate - simply because that is the nature of new product development. You don't know when you'll be done until you've actually got completed units and have tested - then and only then can it be said with certainty what date that will happen.
Once that time comes, *we* will make that announcement here.

That is an *excellent* question - Let me try to explain as well as give you an answer...........
We do not yet know just exactly what our final cost from the manufacturer will be, so we don't know *precisely* what it will cost our customers. Now we DO have some **rough internal estimates** as to what we expect those numbers to be, and we do think they are accurate. So I suppose we could start taking advance orders for those who want to get their units as quickly as possible, BUT - and I emphasize this - we would have to tell anyone placing advance orders that not only can we NOT tell them when to expect delivery, but also that we may need to make a small adjustment in that final price before we ship them.
Of course we would do so ONLY if *our* cost is actually increased enough over what we have heard so far to force us to do that (or if the cost actually drops which would allow a reduction). We really hate the idea of even potentially putting anyone in that kind of position, but I guess we'll have to be willing to offer to take advance orders if there are F-150 Online members who are willing to go along with that in order to be first in line!
We'll handle this on a case-by-case basis, by telephone only. We will NOT quote any pricing for any such advance orders here or in email, we will do that ONLY by telephone (or in person), and ONLY for registered members of F-150 Online.
As things stand right now, we are expecting to get "officially confirmed" pricing from the manufacturer of the hardware next Monday, the 16th of May - NOTE that I am NOT saying that the units will be released them, as beta testing hasn't even begun yet - the only thing we will know next Monday (if all goes to plan) is what our final cost numbers will be.
So if any registered members of F-150 Online want to place an ADVANCE order, we will have to quote that pricing BY TELEPHONE ONLY, as we will not do that in email and will not list the unit on our web site until the unit exists, and has actually been officially released and is shipping. If anyone does want us to take an advance order, then they will have to be a registered member here - and as we always do, we will NOT charge their credit card until we have actually completed their custom tuning and are ready to actually ship their product.
So, I guess that's the deal - if what I've described here with regard to the potential for a price adjustment before shipment is acceptable to you (and any other F-150 Online members), then we can start taking advance orders. Many times with new products not actually released yet we do take advance orders, but that is when we already know what their final cost will be - I think this may be the first time (at least, in a good long while) where we've entertained the idea of taking advance orders without a confirmed official final cost, and we're only going to offer this to registered F-150 Online members with the understanding that we cannot give them a firm delivery date, that there might be a small adjustment in final price, and that we will not charge their credit card until their tuning is done and we are actually ready to ship the product out the door (for members living in the United States).
Now we have tonight to decide what to make the price (we weren't going to do that until we got final confirmed official numbers next week), AND let our staff know about all this..............
