You stated in your reply to Rock Pick that the Airaid Intake was safe to use on the 5.4 along with your tuning setup. Is this also true if you use another brand tuner?

I can't speak on behalf of Mike but, after conversations with him personally, he says that the Air Raid intake can also be used without modifications to the tune.
Mike will respond back soon. Stay tuned.

Hi W Cook,
The Airaid unit for the 5.4 3V F-150's is safe to use with the stock factory tune, it does not require any changes to the tuning to be able to use it.
It's also safe to use with the Superchips "standard" performance tuning (the 1714 Micro Tuner), and it's safe to use with what gets the best performance results from a tuning standpoint, our Troyer Performance custom tuning. All of that we've thoroughly tested & are comfortable with.
But we cannot make any iron-clad guarantee regarding all other tuning on the market - that would require quite a bit of testing, and unless someone wants to step up to the plate and pay us a lot of money to do that, it's not going to happen - and no intake manufacturer does that kind of testing, either. The best intake manufacturers make their intake kits to be safe to use on the stock factory tune - and that's all that any intake kit manufacturer can be expected to do. From there, it's a matter of what the tuning does that determines whether or not that particular combination will also be appropriate to use together, and the intake kit manufacture has no control over any of that, of course.
That's the best I can tell you - it's just not possible to give any guarantee that any intake kit is going to work correctly with any and all tuning changes.
