? for Mike T.

Hi Mike,
I made the plunge and bought a 04 ported eaton with 5700 miles on it($575). My 03' stocker has 26K. Here's the question: Is it possible to get a base tune (have SCT9100) for this so I don't blow the the motor on the dyno trying to get A/F numbers for the retune?
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter,

Glad you made the plunge, congrats!!

However, you need to be *VERY* careful, as you are now peaking the stock 90mm MAF meter because of that porting to the blower, and that MAF will HAVE to be upgraded - and that needs to be done BEFORE you EVER go full-throttle again - in any gear. Period. Do NOT take chances on this, Peter.

You need to call us right away so we can go over this with you - you CANNOT drive that vehicle using heavy throttle until we make a MAF meter & tuning change - so if that ported blower is already installed, that WILL make you run leaner, and will require a MAF change & re-tuning. Until that happens, do NOT use heavy throttle if that bower is installed.

So congrats, & please give us a call so we can go over this with you, OK? Thanks!

Thanks Mike,
I know better not to run it without one of your tunes. I am not going to install it until I get the new Maf and retune. I will be calling you this Wed right before 5pm. I'm presently working out of town during the week and don't get back to my Motel room until 4:45PM.
