Tuner Cure Throttle Lag?

Hey everyone,

I just got an 05 F150 with the 5.4 and im dieing trying to drive it. I traded in my 02 with the 5.4.

This drive by wire thing is laggy.. Does a tuner correct this so the response will be how it was like on the older f150s? (my 02)

Thanks,

Yeah I heard a tuner will fix it, but there is also a TSB on it for ford to fix it.

The "Dealer" reflash of your computer will help, but if you want the best throttle response, give Mike Troyer a call and order yourself a custom tuned X-Calibrator.
You need to talk to him or his Staff to get the particulars. It will be $$ well spent.

Can someone give me some info on the dealer "reflash" i assume they will do it for free?

Would it help me out or is my truck already re-flashed as i just bough it 10days ago.

What do i need to do to go about doing this, as i need to know what to ask for or the server dept, will try to tell me everything is fine.

Go to your dealers Service Department and "TELL" them you want the truck reflashed to compensate for the throttle lag that all these new trucks suffer from because of the drive by wire.
Hey, you paid for the truck and it is under warranty so they will have to do it. If they give you any *****, which I doubt they will, just tell them you are going to have to contact the district represenative about this issue.

I put the Airraid Air Intake and the Custom Tune from Troyer on at the same time. I know that the combination took care of the throttle lag! Night and day.

Xcalibrator alone will fix the lag, its like a whole new truck. At least thats what Mike Troyers custome tunes did for me...

I am very pleased with the results...
