Unhappy Superchip 1715 - PLEASE HELP -This is not your avg question

HEEEELLLLLPPPPP!

My truck was broken into last night and they stole my Superchip model 1715 computer form the back compartment out of my 01 F150 Supercrew.

Since you need the keys to tune/detune, the performance computer mod/tune is still in my computer. My stock settings and vin number are locked into the computer tuner that was stolen last night.

I have heard stories of removing the program tune mod before it will pass smog, is this true? (I live in California)

If I buy a new superchip will it be able to set my computer back to stock? and then retune for performance.

PS: the brilliant guy that broker into my truck left his fingerprints all over my GTS black out headlight covers that he was throwing around the cab, while ripping out my stereo, damaging my brushed aluminum dash kit, and finding the Superscips computer in the hidden compartment behind the seat.

My only revenge is to immagine the look on the dips face when he finds out that my VIN number is locked in and the computer wont program another truck without setting my truck back to stock or even better if the cops can match up all those prints they took off my headlight covers!

Help, I am superscrewed

The only way to put your computer back to stock without your tuner is to take it to the dealer and have them reflash it.

^^^What he said. I think I heard that it costs about 45 bucks if you can't find a dealership that will give you a freebe...Kevin

That sucks, sorry to hear about your truck. Hope the issue with your 1715 works out.

Don't get your hopes up on the fingerprints being matched up, it's not as easy as its portrayed. Not impossible though, so keep your fingers crossed.

It will still pass the CA emissions test with the 1715 tuner installed. I would probably just hang tough for awhile and wait and see if the cops can catch the a-hole.

The 1715 Micro Tuner is indeed CARB-certified, so you will not have any problems passing any emissions tailpipe sniff-test, etc.

Sorry to hear some low-life ripped you off - most likely they'll never be caught, so if you ever see someone breaking into your vehicle - shoot them before they can breed. (PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM JUST KIDDING!!! It's not worth going to jail on a murder rap over shooting a low-life stereo thief!)

That sucks. Sorry to hear. I think I'll take my tuner out of my truck tonight and lock it up in my gun safe.

I would hang it around the neck of my Rotweiler and let him sleep in the truck.
