Upgrades for 96 5.0L F150 4x4
I have been interested in doing some minor upgrades to my F150, such as chip/power commander, and cold air intake. It does not appear that anyone makes any performance upgrades for my combination truck, '96 5.0L. I can find them for 4.6L and 5.4L but not 5.0L. am I missing something here?

There are *plenty* of performance modifications available for your 1996 5,0 truck - just drop by our web site at www.TroyerPerformance.com and you;ll see plenty of things for your vehicle!
And there are other owners here who are using our custom tuning on that specific truck - meaning 1996 5.0's - for example, use the SEARCH feature to look up posts by fellow F-150 Online member "watsonr," who owns the exact same vehicle, a 1996 5.0 F-150, and see what he has to say about his results with our custom tuning for that truck.
So don't worry, there are plenty of things you can do to improve the performance of that 1996 5,0 F-150, and we can help you with that - I advise starting off with our tuning, simply because that is the single best bang-for-the-buck performance enhancement. And then from there, the sky is the limit in terms of how far we can take your truck's performance!

I have a 96 xlt 4+4 x cab and installed the 1715 and like the changes. At this time I have just run it on the 87 tune so far. It made the throttle a lot more responsive and the trans shifts like a truck should. I ordered mine from Troyer Performance and received great service. NICE PEOPLE!!!!! They say the X 9300 gives a lot more power. Call them and I'm sure they will answer all your questions. I went with the 1715 so I would also have a code reader and the tunes it has I know will do all I want. I'm getting my tanks emptied out so I can fill it with high octane and try the performance tune. I know I won't be disappointed. I know the 5.0 needs all the help we can give it. Mine don't down shift on large hills like it used to. The power had to come from somewhere HA!!!!!!! Lots of luck
