Superchips "MAX" Micro Tuner

Why can't you tow anything using the "max" performance program which requires premium fuel? It says it is not towing compatible. Does it have something to do with the shifting or what?

As I understand it, it had to do with both shifting and pre-ignition problems. More load on engine = more pre-ignition possibilities...

I could be wrong however....
